RexxPlas Additives

It is used to reduce the viscosity or thickness of RexxPlas inks. When working with very high mesh counts (305, 380), sometimes it will be necessary to reduce the ink viscosity in order to ensure a better ink deposit on the fabric. The addition of RexxPlas Curable Reducer does not change the original adherence properties of the ink. This product is phthalate free.

RexxPlas Puff Additive, is an additive. It has been designed to achieve puff effects with matte finish. It can be applied on dark and light fabrics. This product is phthalate free.

Is a textile additive. It is used to increase the viscosity of RexxPlas inks and bases. It is presented in powdered form. When pigments are added to bases or inks it often reduces the viscosity levels, particularly when looking for intense tones; on these occasions, the use of this product becomes necessary. In addition, it must be used when the user wants to obtain a higher viscosity than a normal one to do special work with very open screens. Also, it is recommended to be used when one wants to increase the coverage (or “hiding power”) on dark fabrics. This product is phthalate free.

It has been specially designed to act as mixing base with glitters or metallic particles. Its high transparency enables the glitter particles produce a gloss of higher radiance. This product is phthalate free.

RexxPlas Opaque Mix Base, is a textile plastisol base. It has been specially formulated to be mixed with pigments of the RexPlas mixing system and improve its opacity on dark fabrics without altering its colour intensity.

It has been specially formulated to obtain very soft hand printings on light fabrics. It must be mixed with RexxPlas Pigments to obtain the desired colour. It can also be used as colour reducer or extender. This product is phthalate free.

RexxPlas Stretch Base inks can be printed on Lycra Spandex (Nylon Lycra) to provide good stretch and softness to the design. Colours can be created by mixing RexxPlas Concentrates. RexxPlas Stretch Base is a press-ready plastisol designed for printing on nylon lycra fabrics. Formulated to have good adhesion properties in addition to increased elongation. Add RexxPlas Stretch Base as a stretch additive to improve stretch of other RexxPlas plastisol inks.

RexxPlas Colour Systems

High Density Base can be printed through a wide range of mesh counts and thick film emulsions. High Density’s very short body and mid range viscosity mark it easy to mix, easy to print and easy to create very soft High Density type designs. Extremely precise edge definition is possible, making High Density a good choice to reproduce prints that look like they have been die cut. Create thousands of shades by using Colour Booster formulas. Extremely soft with less hand than most High Density inks.

Ink Mixing System is a non-phthalate finished ink mixing system. They are opaque resulting in excellent coverage on dark garments. The tackfree formula allows printing through a range of mesh counts without the need for a viscosity modifier. Use a white underlay when printing on dark fabrics for that extra “pop” in brightness. No build-up formulations ensure the highest print efficiencies without down time for wiping screens.

RexxPlas Speciality Inks

Crystal Gel Clear is formulated as a plastisol for printing on 100% Cotton fabrics or over a low bleed underlay on poly/cotton. This product has excellent edge definition when stacked for that 3D look and provides maximum gloss when fully cured. Fast shearing action means higher press speeds. Can be tinted with RexxPlas Concentrates to make Gel Colours. High gloss and clarity when printed in thick film and cured properly.

Use Plastisol Thinner as a Curable Reducer. As a reducer add any amount to a mixed ink to reduce the viscosity for easier printing or to allow the ink to penetrate the fibers more completely for a softer feel. Please note that addition of any soft hand product could cause increased fibrillation or fading of the print during the laundry process. The use of Plastisol Thinner does not change the cure parameters of plastisol inks.

A puff concentrate. Use at up to 15% by weight to make a puff ink from any opaque plastisol colour. Mix thoroughly. Puff additive may also be used to take the gloss from plastisol ink. Add 2% by weight to an plastisol ink to make a matte finish.

Jewel Shimmer is formulated as a press-ready plastisol for printing on 100% Cotton or poly/ cotton. Jewel Shimmer can be coloured to produce an array of metallic colours.

White Puff was developed as a direct print puff to maintain whiter white better than mixing using concentrates and puff base.

Puff Base is designed to allow up to 50% RexxPlas Concentrate or Colour mixing inks to be added and still maintain a good puff of the mixed colour. Use as little colorant as possible for the highest puff. Tip: (Add thickener to the premixed puff colour to allow more ink to sit on surface giving maximum loft)

RexxPlas Whites

It was specially formulated to be printed on high elongation fabrics such as rib (used for collars) and elastic fabrics (lycra). It is designed to achieve prints with excellent elasticity and high opacity covering on dark fabrics. Moreover, its fasflash eases the printing avoiding subsequent frame dyeing. This product is phthalate free.

This product was specially formulated to print on polyester-cotton fabrics where migration or dye transfer from the fabric to the printing occurs. The use of this product reduces migration problems, will not eliminate it entirely. However, we recommend the user to carry out all relevant tests to ensure that desired results are achieved. It may cause discoloration or “ghosting” on the back and on top of certain fabrics (previous tests are strongly suggested).

It has been specially developed for thermal transfer of litho transfer inks, so the offset printed image is transferred completely to the fabric from the litho paper with high colour intensity. Its optimal viscosity allows to obtain a uniform and consistent film. The use of this ink is indispensable to obtain good results for Litho transfers on dark fabrics.
